EFA CAMverse opens nine PCB/CAM formats - Gerber up to X3 (RS-274X) with Excellon drill data, EAGLE, ODB++, IPC-2581 (DPMX), GenCAD 1.4, IPC-D-356, DXF, PADS Layout ASCII and KiCad - in one native Windows interface, free to use as a viewer. It shows layers, stackup, drills, components and netlists, in 2D and in an interactive 3D view with component models.
A special feature for assembly work: classic Gerber X/X2 data plus a pick and place file are merged into Gerber X3 (for assembly) - column layout, separators, decimal marks, units and board side of the coordinate file are detected automatically.
The assembly drawing is generated from the data itself, component by component - so components deselected for a customer variant are never drawn in the first place, in 2D as well as 3D.
The viewer is free. Optional Pro features add top/bottom assembly views with configurable assembly print, CSV export of coordinates and BoM plus netlists, and conversion between PCB/CAM formats - any of the nine formats can be passed on as GenCAD 1.4. Everything runs locally - no cloud, no upload. The user interface is available in English and German; installers are EV code-signed. Runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
